Freelance Commissioning Manager – Data Centre Projects

I’m currently supporting a specialist commissioning consultancy engaged on multiple large hyperscale data centre projects and they are looking to bring on experienced Commissioning Managers on a freelance basis. This position will work closely alongside the main contractor and wider delivery teams, taking ownership of MEP commissioning activities across a major mission critical environment from early commissioning through to handover.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing commissioning activities across the project lifecycle
  • Coordinating with contractors, vendors, client teams and site stakeholders
  • Supporting commissioning strategy, documentation and testing procedures
  • Overseeing pre-commissioning, functional testing and IST activities
  • Ensuring systems are delivered in line with project and compliance standards
  • Driving issue resolution throughout commissioning and handover phases

Requirements:

  • Strong background delivering commissioning on large-scale data centre or mission critical projects
  • Experience working across complex MEP environments
  • Previous experience working within a commissioning consultancy/agent environment is highly beneficial
  • Ability to operate within fast-paced live project environments

  • Freelance contract (Long-term hyperscale project)
