One of our leading energy trading clients is looking for a Senior Commodities Business Analyst with hands-on experience working with cMotion to join a high-profile programme focused on optimising their physical trading operations. This is a business-critical role supporting the integration and enhancement of cMotion across front-to-back workflows, especially around coal and dry bulk logistics, parcel-level delivery management, and curve setup for new locations.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Work closely with front, middle, and back-office teams to gather requirements and translate them into functional solutions within cMotion.
- Drive the delivery of enhancements to support parcel-based scheduling, logistics, and inventory tracking.
- Support integration efforts between cMotion and core trading platforms.
- Lead workshops with business users and technology teams to align on process improvements and system capabilities.
- Analyse existing data structures (e.g. DBB schema) and define changes to support new use cases.
Experience required:
- Proven experience as a Commodities Business Analyst in energy or dry bulk trading.
- Experience with Openlink Endur.
- Strong knowledge of cMotion (implementation, configuration, and user workflows).
- Experience with coal logistics, scheduling, and inventory management highly desirable.
- Background in ETRM/CTRM systems and understanding of the full trade lifecycle.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across trading, operations, and IT.
