Our client, a leading investment bank, is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to manage the delivery of technology solutions supporting its commodities trading business. This role acts as the single point of contact for traders, owning the prioritisation, functional delivery, and evolution of key pricing, risk, and reporting tools for the front-office commodities desk.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the functional lead and single POC for traders, business managers, and quants.
- Lead a team of 6 (permanent and contractors), mentoring and managing daily delivery and on-call support.
- Prioritise backlog and ensure timely delivery of business-critical projects.
- Deliver solutions for commodities pricing, options/non-linear derivatives, market data, risk reporting, and deal valuation.
- Work closely with quants to ensure models and pricing libraries are correctly applied.
- Recommend functional improvements, new initiatives, and operational efficiencies to the business.
- Maintain operational stability, mitigate risk, and ensure adherence to governance and compliance policies.
Required Experience
- Strong commodities trading domain knowledge (oil, gas, power, emissions, metals).
- Deep understanding of derivatives pricing, options, and non-linear risk (Greeks, vol smiles/skews).
- Proven experience in a functional business-facing role supporting front-office trading desks.
- Previous experience managing a small IT team or delivery squad.
- Excellent stakeholder management with traders, quants, and senior business users.
- Hands-on involvement in delivery and functional specification, not purely management.
Nice-to-Have
- Familiarity with C#/.NET, Angular, or other development tools.
- Exposure to structured products or Murex onboarding for commodities.
