Head of Trading Architecture

Job Description

Head of Architecture required for a commodities trading firm.

You will be responsible for reviewing the current architecture, identifying areas of improvement, and proposing solutions to modernise the tech stack. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to challenge the status quo, and the foresight to design systems with long-term scalability in mind.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the architecture strategy for the trading function.
• Ensure the trading architecture is fit for the future, proposing enhancements and technical solutions for business challenges.
• Oversee the integration of trading systems, including ETRM platforms such as Endur, and ensure seamless connectivity across front, middle, and back office functions.

Experience Required

• Deep knowledge of commodities trading and familiarity with associated business processes across front, middle, and back offices.
• Experience working on large-scale, transformative programmes, ideally in a greenfield environment.
• Expertise in trading systems, particularly ETRM platforms such as Endur.
• Strong knowledge of general cloud architecture (Azure, AWS) and messaging patterns (RabbitMQ, Kafka, Service Bus).
