About our Apprenticeship Program:
We are looking for Apprentice Lineworkers and Apprentice Cable Jointers to join us in February 2026!
Our Apprentice Lineworkers are responsible for constructing and maintaining overhead and underground electrical lines and structures. They will also respond to and rectify network faults to restore supply to our customers.
Our Apprentice Cable Jointers are involved with terminating and jointing electrical cables onto electrical equipment, installing and maintaining cables in underground conduits and trenches, and rectification of faults on the distribution system.
Our Apprentices must be willing to work outdoors, at heights and in all weather conditions.
Our four-year program sees our Apprentices:

- Be trained. Earn a nationally recognised TAFE certification.
- Be supported. Great pay, valuable benefits and a 1:1 mentor to support your journey.

- Certificate III – ESI Distribution Underground (Cable Jointer)
To be eligible to apply, you need to meet one of the following pre-requisites:
- Units 1 & 2 General Maths (Year 11 equivalent); or
- VCAL or VCE Vocational Major; or
- Currently completing (or completed) a pre-apprenticeship TAFE training course in Electrotechnology (Cert II)*.
*If you are currently completing a pre-requisite subject, you are eligible to apply, as long as it will be successfully completed by the end of the 2025 academic year.
