The overall objective of this role is to review legal documentation for structured corporate derivative trades to ensure trade capture is accurate in FO risk systems. The role involves working very closely with the FO trading desk and ensuring controls are in place to support complex structures and minimise bank risk through ensuring adherence to audit and control policies. The role will support pre and post operational support as part of desk aligned middle office support function.

What you'll do:

  • Managed structured trade documentation reviews ensuring FO bookings are in line with legal docs.
  • Provide analytical and administrative support to front office sales and trading and act as an advisor or coach to new or junior staff.
  • Independently check and process FO lifecycle events on derivative securities.
  • Maintain position records in coordination with the traditional trading desk assistant and/or trade processing functions.
  • Support trade capture management, front to back reconciliation, identifying operational risk, trade confirmation and settlement forecasts.
  • Develop and implement business initiatives, client solutions, and/or projects affiliated with pre-settlement processes and transaction capture.
  • Oversee the volume, quality, integrity, timeliness and delivery of complex deliverables and plan, budget and form policies for own area.
  • Analyse issues with transaction capture and related functions where direction is needed, and actions must be recommended/taken.
  • Develop and implement business plans, policies and procedures and support a range of internal and external clients.
  • Oversee performance of pre-settlement capture activities and define, develop, implement and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, client service, control, and cost reduction and implement improvements.
  • Conduct discovery and due diligence activities with clients to solve complex client queries.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.

  • Bachelor’s degree/university degree or equivalent experience.
