Overview
In this role you support Citi’s Electronic Execution platform within Global Cash Equities, focusing on algorithmic trading flows and production reliability. You will collaborate with desks, MQA, and technology to optimize strategies and respond swiftly to outages, ensuring accurate routing and execution. The role sits at the intersection of tech, markets, and control, enabling disciplined, best-in-class execution for institutional clients. You’ll contribute to resilient, scalable electronic trading systems that underlie Citi’s market-leading capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Monitor live algorithmic trading flows and provide first-line support for internal desks
- Act quickly during production outages to minimize risk and exposure
- Manage deployment and configuration of client-specific algorithmic parameters
- Investigate and resolve real-time operational and execution issues with traders and clients
- Incorporate market events and ensure proper onboarding, routing, and execution within algorithmic engines
- Collaborate with Quantitative Research (MQA) and Technology to deploy new features and platform optimizations
- Partner with governance functions (Compliance, ETRM, ETRC) to maintain risk controls and standards
- Support governance and licensing activities to ensure regulatory readiness
Key requirements
- Front office production support experience preferred in electronic trading
- In-depth knowledge of equity algorithmic trading protocols, SOR, and auction mechanics
- Excellent verbal and written communication for cross-functional collaboration
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in quantitative/technical fields
