The FX Product Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Foreign Exchange at Citi by leading product vision and roadmap development, ensuring a client-centric approach from concept to delivery. This involves close collaboration with various business, risk, finance, technology, and operations teams to achieve delivery objectives. The incumbent will be a hands-on, techno-functional leader, capable of delving into trading systems to understand critical data flows. Leveraging excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, they will manage and implement a diverse range of products. A key aspect of the role is driving the strategic development, management, and execution of FX Trade processing and Risk platforms implementation and modernisation, solutioning new cross border payments and custody flows, enhance the usage of Gen AI in delivering cutting-edge FX products that meet evolving Trading, Sales and client needs and enhance competitive positioning.
- Drive the standardization of business processes globally to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve controls.
- Provide a global perspective in all discussions, ensuring optimal solutions for the business and collaborating across various horizontals and verticals.
- Engage directly with sales and traders to understand their vision, industry trends, and integrate these insights into product and solution strategies.
- Manage solutions spanning diverse areas such as workflows, trade processing, risk, eCommerce, and back-office operations.
- Effectively prioritize business needs and challenge the status quo regarding processes, solutions, and structures.
- Oversee product initiatives across a broad range of countries (30+ in EMEA, 65+ globally), each with unique legal, compliance, and business requirements.
- Collaborate with senior business leaders, a global user community, and technical specialists to define and implement solutions that meet business requirements.
- Develop clear and specific project plans, along with comprehensive business requirements documents.
- Secure buy-in from all project stakeholders, set accurate expectations for deliverables and timelines, and ensure commitments are met.
- Identify and manage upstream and downstream project dependencies, ensuring necessary resources and commitments.
- Develop and implement best practices for evaluating, selecting, and integrating technologies within the FX technology landscape.
- Assume end-to-end ownership of projects, driving a product-centric approach.
- Ensure effective escalation and project management to achieve timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Act as a brand ambassador for the product and business.
- Manage a team of Product Managers (where applicable), guiding them to achieve established goals and conducting personnel duties.
- Oversee strategic roadmaps, product development, launch, and marketing to maximize product benefit.
- Manage day-to-day product operations, including client experience and communication strategies.
- Execute client value propositions, positioning, segmentation, pricing, channel strategies, and competitive differentiation.
- Develop and implement functional strategies for country, regional, or multi-country business units.
- Manage client and competitor market research, develop product innovation roadmaps, and address market commoditization.
- Oversee all aspects of program lifecycle management, considering market demands, technology trends, and competitive factors.
- Contribute to achieving acquisition targets, product financial performance, revenue, and expense management goals.
- Develop and communicate business plans, coordinate team procedures, and resolve client issues.
- Drive innovation through external partnerships, manage vendor relationships, and prepare agreements.
- Appropriately assess and mitigate risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adherence to Policy, and ethical conduct.
- Work closely with other product managers, development teams, and technology partners to advance Cross Border Payments transformation and Custody product offering.
- Create client and stakeholder driven product roadmaps and strategies informed by thorough market research and competitor analysis.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (e.g., TTS, Sales, Trading, Technology, Legal, Compliance, Risk) to ensure product feasibility, regulatory adherence, and successful market launch.
- Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle for assigned FX products, from ideation to eventual retirement.
- Establish an AI first approach in problem solving and solution provision including building prototypes for client, sales and trading workflows.
- Oversee product testing, validation, and quality assurance processes.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes in the FX market.
- Represent the firm at industry conferences, seminars, and client engagements, establishing thought leadership.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and best practices within the product team.

Knowledge / Experience
- Strong experience in a product management or business analysis role, focused on designing and delivering solutions.
- Experience working in the financial services industry.
- Proven experience managing across multi-functional and/or global business environments.
- Direct experience in end-to-end project delivery, with a preference for product development.
- Proven track record of successfully launching new products and managing product lifecycles.
- Experience in identifying, negotiating, and managing strategic partnerships, ideally with FinTechs or technology providers.
Domain Knowledge:
- Solid understanding of FX markets, risk management, trading mechanisms, and the regulatory landscape.
- In-depth knowledge of FX workflow, from client-side booking to back-office deal flow.
- Knowledge of FX Options and Trading Risk Management.
- Understanding of direct dealing and passive execution related to FX Payments.
- Understanding of global financial regulations impacting FX, and regulation differences in local markets versus offshore.
- Understanding of Digital Assets and their impact on payment workflows.
Technical Skills:
- Technically talented in Excel, with extensive experience using it for analysis.
- Familiarity with technology development methodologies.
- Knowledge of various analytical tools, including Qlikview, Tableau, and Access.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Python, SQL).
- Understanding of AI/ML concepts and technologies.
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical or quantitative discipline from a top-tier university.
