Overview
As Head of Client Connectivity Engineering, you will define and lead the global low-latency connectivity platform for Citi’s Equities Electronic-Execution.
You’ll oversee a cross-regional engineering team, shaping architecture and delivery to ensure high performance, resilience, and scalable DMA/on-execution capabilities.
You’ll partner with senior stakeholders to translate business needs into a compelling technology roadmap and drive a culture of engineering excellence.

Responsibilities
- Define and execute the technical vision and roadmap for the low-latency connectivity platform
- Lead and mentor a geographically distributed engineering team
- Partner with product, quantitative research, and operations leaders to translate business needs into tech features
- Architect end-to-end, high-performance electronic connectivity systems
- Champion engineering excellence with automated testing, performance optimization, and robust SDLC practices
- Drive AI-powered development tools adoption throughout the SDLC
- Advance Agile and CI/CD practices to speed up delivery
- Ensure production stability through monitoring, recovery, and common platform solutions
- Key requirements
- Extensive fintech experience with building low-latency systems in Java, C++, or Rust
- Proven leadership of high-performing, distributed engineering teams in financial institutions
- Deep experience in electronic trading/ connectivity platforms (market data, order routing, DMA, FIX)
- Ability to set technical strategy, roadmaps, and manage large multi-year initiatives
- Strong understanding of low-latency design, concurrency, throughput, and networks
- Effective leadership and communication to executive stakeholders
- Knowledge of regional exchange microstructure and regulatory regimes
- Solid grasp of Agile, CI/CD, and Dev Ops culture
