In this role you will lead Citi’s Global Core Trade Modernisation, shaping the operating model to scale globally, digitize processes, and improve client experience. You’ll head a team of product specialists and partner across product, sales, technology, risk and operations to drive strategic initiatives and a modern, compliant operating environment. You will influence architecture, governance, and change management to deliver scalable, efficient trade finance capabilities. Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end Core Trade operating infrastructure vision and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology strategy.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with product, sales, operations and technology to ensure global consistency and ease of adoption.
- Manage and mentor a team of 5-7 specialists, driving performance, resource planning and career development.
- Promote design-for-excellence (DfX) and oversee product development and commercialization within the modernisation program.
- Oversee investment planning, budget, and stakeholder communications to support the platform modernization and change management.
- Establish and enforce program-level risk management and governance in a regulated environment, ensuring compliance with payments and data privacy rules.
Key requirements
- Deep commercial mindset with track record leading large-scale, complex programs in product management.
- Proven experience transforming high-volume transactional businesses from physical to digital and hybrid models.
- Experience with program governance for multi-year, multi-project initiatives.
- Demonstrated innovation across a global platform in a regulated environment.
- Experience with AI and ML technologies and their integration into program strategies.
- Ability to lead diverse teams through organizational and cultural change.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; ability to influence at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree preferred.
