The overall objective of this role is to support in the origination and execution efforts of the UK FIG team, while efficiently deploying the firm's capital and evaluating and managing risk.Responsibilities:Partner with Senior Bankers to provide overall relationship management supportSupport Bankers in cross-selling full spectrum of products and services by identifying customer needs to generate revenueSupport Bankers on Global FIG initiatives to deliver leading contentAssist with day to day cash management activities, trading initiatives, vendor finance, foreign exchange, loan activity, debt capital markets efforts and interest rate/equity derivativesResponsible for evaluating public filings, research reports, operations, business plans, and financial forecasts to produce strategic and financial analysesResponsible for staying abreast of FIG market and industry trends, “best practices” and competitive landscapeThe associate will develop (i) in-depth understanding of the dynamics of each sub-sector, (ii) an understanding of clients’ priorities with the aim of identifying appropriate marketing opportunities and (iii) strong relationships internally with key product, risk and regional partners.Qualifications:Experience in a FIG or Corporate Banking related areaStrong credit skills, credit background and knowledge of Citi’s credit policies and product suiteConsistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office, notably Excel and PowerPointFCA certification is a plusEducation:Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, MBA or Master's Degree in Business is a plusCandidates applying for this role must be aware that it is a Certified Role, subject to the FCA and PRA Certification Regime.The Certification Regime is one element of the Individual Accountability Regime which came into effect on 7 March 2016.Under the Certification Regime, Citi UK regulated entities (Citi entities) must ensure that employees working in certain roles categorised as specified significant harm functions (Certified Roles) are assessed as fit and proper to carry out their role.Under the guidance provided by the FCA and PRA, firms should have regard to the following when assessing fitness and propriety:Honesty, integrity and reputationFinancial soundnessCompetence and capabilityIn order to comply with the requirements of the Certification Regime, Citi entities must take reasonable care to ensure that an employee does not perform a Certified Role without first being certified as Fit and Proper.
