We design the tools thousands of Citi colleagues use every day - and when the design is right, people feel it.As a Product Designer in our UX Design Group, you'll work across the full design lifecycle: discovery and research, information architecture, ideation, prototyping, and production-ready design delivery. We're also evolving how we practice - actively integrating AI-assisted tools and workflows to move faster and design smarter.The UX Design Group helps turn complex business processes into tools that are clear, efficient, and intuitive to use. We partner closely with users, product teams, and engineers to design experiences that reduce friction, support better decisions, and help people do their best work.What You'll DoMeet with internal users, product sponsors, and technology partners to understand requirements and uncover pain points in existing workflowsConduct UX research, define information architecture, map user journeys, and build personas that reflect the needs of enterprise users across global business linesTranslate complex, data-heavy workflows into clear, intuitive interface designs suited to high-frequency professional useIdentify and track metrics and qualitative signals that inform and validate design decisionsCollaborate with business analysts, product managers, and engineering teams to brainstorm, co-create, and iterate on solutionsCreate wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma, Figma Make, and AI-assisted design toolsIncorporate AI-assisted design techniques into your workflow β€” from generative ideation and content prototyping to using AI tools that accelerate research synthesis and design iterationUse and contribute to the approved design system, helping maintain consistency across a large and complex product estateAdhere to and help improve design standards and best practicesEnsure all designs comply with ADA/WCAG accessibility standardsPerform detailed design handover to development teams and provide ongoing support during build, with regular UX review checkpoints to ensure quality and fidelityKeep up to date with the latest UX practices, AI design tooling, and emerging patterns in enterprise softwareApply a positive and constructive attitude to all feedback and sound ethical judgment to design decisions, including the responsible use of AI in the design processDeliver on time, proactively identifying and managing risks and escalating where neededHelp to train and support junior team membersContribute to the wider UX community of practiceUphold Citi's standards by assessing risk appropriately, adhering to policy, and escalating control issues with transparencyWhat We're Looking ForYou don't need a decade of experience - you need curiosity, craft, and the ability to bring clarity to complexity. We're looking for a designer who asks good questions, sweats the details, and genuinely enjoys the challenge of making hard problems feel simple.Must-HaveDemonstrable experience designing complex digital products, ideally within enterprise or B2B environmentsStrong proficiency in Figma, including familiarity with Figma Make or AI-assisted design workflowsExperience using and contributing to design systems at scaleSolid understanding of UX research methods and how to apply findings to design decisionsWorking knowledge of ADA/WCAG accessibility standardsStrong attention to detail and analytical thinking β€” comfortable working with dense, data-rich interfacesExcellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to articulate design rationale to non-design stakeholdersExperience delivering within agile teamsNice to HaveFamiliarity with AI-assisted design tools (e.g. generative UI, AI-powered research synthesis, or LLM-integrated prototyping workflows)HTML/CSS development skillsInterest in or knowledge of financial services, banking operations, or compliance-driven productsExperience designing for internal tooling, operations platforms, or workflow-heavy applicationsEducation:Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
