Team/Role OverviewThe Derivatives Settlements Operations team is recruiting for a Senior Product Development leader at the SVP level. This is a senior leadership role owning the end-to-end transformation agenda for OTC Settlements and Payments across multiple product lines.

The successful candidate will set the strategic direction for data-driven transformation, own the investment portfolio and roadmap, and act as the primary senior interlock between Operations, Technology, and Product leadership. This role carries accountability for the commercial and control outcomes of the broader transformation program, and for building and mentoring a team of Product Development VPs and Analysts.

What you will doOwn and evolve the strategic vision and multi-year roadmap for the OTC Settlements and Payments target operating model, aligning it to broader Markets Operations transformation objectivesProvide senior oversight of forensic reviews across operational processes, ensuring diagnostic findings translate into enterprise-grade, sustainable solutionsDirect large-scale, cross-product analysis of settlement and payment datasets, setting the analytical standards and frameworks used across the wider teamOwn the full business case lifecycle for major investment proposals β€” including sizing, prioritization, and presentation to senior management and governance forums β€” securing funding and organizational buy-inAct as ultimate accountable owner for business requirements delivered to Technology, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture and platform strategySet the strategy for KPI visualization, dashboarding, and business intelligence capability, partnering with Technology and Process Engineering leadership to embed it at scaleChampion and govern the adoption of AI, low-code automation, and generative AI tooling across the wider Derivatives Settlements function, setting standards for responsible and effective useBuild, lead, and develop a team of Product Development VPs and Analysts, providing mentorship, performance management, and career developmentOwn senior stakeholder relationships across Operations, Technology, Product, Audit, Risk, and Regulatory functions, representing the transformation program at senior governance and steering committeesDrive program-level adherence to delivery standards, proactively escalating and managing risk, issues, and status to senior management and executive leadershipSet the tone from the top on risk culture: appropriately assessing risk in business decisions, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, and holding others accountable for maintaining these standardsWhat we'll need from youExtensive, demonstrable leadership experience applying data analytics and process re-engineering to drive large-scale business transformation.

Deep Operations and/or Technology experience within Global Markets, with exposure to Derivatives, Payments, or Settlements operationsA strong track record leading (not just participating in) the delivery of complex, multi-year strategic initiatives, including ownership of business cases and investment decisionsProven experience building and leading high-performing teamsEstablished senior relationships with Technology leadership and external technology vendors, with a track record of influencing platform strategyPractical, hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., CoPilot, Devin, Claude) and a track record of driving adoption at scaleStrong working knowledge of low-code automation and generative AI tooling, including governance considerations for enterprise deploymentExceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills, with the gravitas to influence senior management and represent the function externallyBachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experienceMaster's degree preferredWhat we can offer youWe work hard to have a positive financial and social impact on the communities we serve.
