The COO Program Management SVP will be responsible for creating a robust governance and oversight framework to track, monitor and support successful progress of Client Organisation Projects and Strategic Initiatives. The successful candidate will support the design and implement the necessary tracking mechanisms (KPIs/KRIs), establish a regular cadence for governance, and provide senior management with transparent insights into the various initiatives and programs performance, risks, and strategic alignment. This position requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in governance, data analysis, and program management within a complex financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the management and tracking of a diverse portfolio of automation programs, including process simplification & automation, and the strategic embedding of AI tools.
  • Support the management and tracking of a diverse portfolio of Projects and Strategic Initiatives, including process simplification & control automation.
  • Support initiative sponsors/leads by providing guidance and support for successful delivery of deliverables.
  • Provide senior oversight for a portfolio of in-flight process optimization projects, ensuring they remain on track to meet committed deadlines and deliver expected business benefits.
  • Proactively identify and resolve roadblocks, manage complex dependencies, and facilitate cross-functional collaboration to accelerate project delivery and ensure progress against targets.
  • Establish and manage a robust risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks and issues related to process change and project execution, escalating to senior leadership as required.
  • Develop and produce high-quality presentation materials for senior management to report on program status, milestones, risks, and performance.
  • Design, track, and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and risk profile of the automation program.
  • Proactively identify and manage risks and issues associated with automation projects, ensuring timely escalation and mitigation.
  • Work collaboratively across various pillars and functions within the Client Organisation to gather updates, ensure data accuracy, and drive the automation agenda.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across Client, Central teams, and the Business to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Utilize a deep understanding of Citi’s internal data structures and reporting tools to provide insightful analysis and reporting.
  • Maintain proficiency with key internal systems and processes, including controls data repositories, the Investment Request process, iCAPS, and the Project Tracking System (PTS) for accurate monitoring and reporting.

Knowledge, Experience & Skills:

Required:

  • Extensive experience in a governance, risk management, or program oversight role within the financial services industry.
  • Demonstrable proficiency with Citi’s internal data structures, control frameworks, and reporting tools.
  • Proven experience with the Investment Request process, iCAPS, and Project Tracking System (PTS) for tracking and monitoring.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to design and implement effective KPIs and KRIs.
  • Experience leveraging AI, data analytics, and visualization tools to streamline reporting and generate actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in creating high-impact PowerPoint presentations for senior executive audiences.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a complex, matrixed organisation and build collaborative relationships.
  • Strong project and program management skills with a track record of delivering complex initiatives.
