Team/Role Overview
The role is aligned to a business unit with an overview of Markets alongside a team of skilled professionals managing and controlling the Trading P&L on a daily basis. Our small, agile global team play a pivotable role in ensuring Markets management and regulators have a accurate and timely view of P&L.
What you\βll do
You will be partnering with trading desks on a daily basis in a fast paced environment where timely and accurate decisions matter. Identifying material variances, agreeing with the traders and correcting P&L, where appropriate. Controlling the submission of trading P&L, ensuring compliance with policy and accurate vs the Finance T+1 P&L. There is also opportunity to be involved in projects across Business, Tech and Finance.
- Monitor and address P&L exceptions daily
- Review and comment on material moves following day
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and policies
- Drive strategic, tactical and process improvement initiatives
- Chair cross functional business forums, communicate status, escalate issues and drive results
What we\βll need from you
The ideal candidate will have relevant Markets experience within Business Management, Middle Office or Product Control. They must be flexible, dedicated and ability to work with complexity and at high intensity.
- Relevant work experience in Financial Services
- MS Excel, MS Access, SAS, SQL, Visual Basic a plus.
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication
- Effective organizational influencing skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to see the big pictures with high attention to critical details
