As a Senior Analyst in our EMEA Loan Capital Markets team, you'll be at the forefront of originating, structuring, and executing complex syndicated loan & acquisition financing transactions for large corporates, financial institutions, and government-related entities (GREs). The Senior Analyst, working in the EMEA Loan Capital Markets team (within Debt Capital Markets), will participate in all client activities including marketing, structuring, execution and ongoing relationship management. You will join a fast-paced, high-performing team and will have substantial exposure to several teams across Citi, including Debt Capital Markets, Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, Corporate and Commercial Banking, Risk Management, Derivatives Solutions, Credit Trading and Ratings Advisory across a wide variety of countries and industries. This role operates in a hybrid model, with regular office presence required to support collaboration and client engagement.
Responsibilities
- Originate, Syndicate & Execute: Lead the origination, structuring, and syndication of loan and acquisition financing solutions for corporate, financial institution, and GRE clients across UK, Europe, and CEEMEA.
- Drive Business Development: Generate innovative financing ideas, contribute to pitch preparation, and help win new mandates while building lasting client relationships.
- Create Compelling Materials: Prepare high-quality presentation materials, term sheets, credit approval packages, and marketing documents that showcase Citi's capabilities.
- Structure Complex Transactions: Participate in negotiating and documenting sophisticated loan transactions, working closely with Legal and Risk teams.
- Collaborate Across Citi: Partner with Investment Banking, M&A, Corporate Banking, Risk Management, Derivatives, Credit Trading, and Ratings Advisory teams across multiple geographies.
- Uphold Excellence: Demonstrate sound judgment in risk assessment, compliance, and ethical decision-making, safeguarding Citi's reputation and client assets.
Qualifications
- A few years of relevant full-time investment banking experience required (debt capital markets, leveraged finance, investment banking, corporate banking, or risk management preferred).
- Strong credit analysis and corporate finance expertise.
- Financial modeling proficiency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (additional European languages highly valued).
- Energetic, self-motivated, and adaptable team player.
- Exceptional analytical thinking with ability to synthesize complex information and draw clear conclusions.
- Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Education
