Markets Operations Belfast Overview

Our Operations groups are core to the success of the Markets business. We support a wide range of internal stakeholders alongside having significant interaction with external clients, playing a key role in the overall client experience.

A role within Markets Operations means that you will have a global reach, in a supportive environment which will provide you with new experiences and development opportunities right here in Belfast’s iconic Titanic Quarter.

You can play an important part in transforming and simplifying our operating model.

Role Overview

The role involves daily engagement with External Clients, Front Office trading and sales, internal stakeholders and third party vendors to reconcile exception items and identify/resolve at root cause.

What you’ll do

  • Assisting clients with all trade confirmation related issues
  • Close liaison with internal businesses and stakeholders
  • Ensuring all issues and breaks are raised and resolved appropriately, in a timely and risk‑conscious manner
  • Produce timely accurate reporting statements to ensure appropriate oversight of client accounts
  • Assist with process improvement
  • Understand impact of applicable regulations on the business area and ensure that all regulatory requirements are met
  • Assist with client onboarding

What we’ll need from you

  • Experience of working in a legal/financial service organisation preferable
  • Proven track record in delivering results in a challenging and changing environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interpret data
  • Attention to detail
  • Problem‑solving skills

Successful candidates will attend a two week Market Operations Training Academy if required. This aims to help you understand how Markets Operations work and where your role fits in in Citi while also providing you with all the tools needed to be the best you can be in your new role.
