Citi is looking for a Product Manager, Core Accounts to take strategic ownership of a critical suite of transaction banking products that sit at the heart of how corporate clients manage payments, collections, and cash concentration globally. In this role within the Core Accounts Product Management team, you will set product direction, lead cross-functional delivery, and shape the full lifecycle of a portfolio of products that form the foundation of Citi's transaction banking offer. Your work will directly influence client outcomes, product competitiveness, and the evolution of core banking infrastructure at one of the world's leading financial institutions.
Responsibilities
- Define and own the product strategy for Core Accounts, setting direction across the full product lifecycle from discovery through to delivery and ongoing performance management.
- Author and prioritize product requirements and user stories, applying clear sequencing and timing to improve business processes, client experience, and operational controls.
- Lead participation in planning sessions and backlog reviews to ensure product initiatives are scoped within budget and structured to deliver measurable returns.
- Champion an agile mindset across product and technology teams, embedding iterative ways of working that accelerate delivery and improve outcomes.
- Partner with sales and client management teams to identify and size new client opportunities, representing the voice of the customer in all product development decisions.
- Manage product risk and controls across documentation, legal, and regulatory dimensions, ensuring all products meet compliance requirements and global standards.
- Build alignment across the organization by communicating the value proposition of Core Accounts products clearly to key partners and senior stakeholders.
- Prepare and present materials for product approval processes, ensuring all new and existing products are delivered in line with established global parameters.
Required qualifications & skills
- Significant experience in product management, transaction banking, or a related financial services discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to develop product requirements, author user stories, and translate business needs into actionable delivery plans.
- Analytical capability applied to product performance, client insights, and commercial opportunity assessment.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment with shifting requirements or timelines.
- Clear and concise communication skills, with the ability to influence and align stakeholders across product, technology, sales, and senior leadership.
- Sound judgement in assessing risk, with a track record of identifying issues and driving resolution through appropriate escalation and action.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent university qualification.
