Key Responsibilities

  • Banking & Wealth Origination
  • Partner with Private Bankers, Wealth Advisors, IBD coverage bankers, Markets and all product partners (Investments, Capital Markets, Lending, Trust, Structured Solutions, FX) to deliver a differentiated origination and client experience across the full banking and wealth product suite.
  • Support end-to-end origination activities including prospecting, pipeline development, pitch preparation, financial and wealth analysis, proposal development, and transaction execution.
  • Conduct business development initiatives on a self-start basis for both Citi Private Bank and the IBD–Citi Private Bank partnership, identifying wealth-creation events (IPOs, M&A, sponsor liquidity events, secondaries) and converting them into actionable client opportunities.
  • Prepare and coordinate prospect presentations, relationship reviews, and product pitches, working with product specialists to tailor solutions to client-specific needs.
  • Provide support to Private Bankers and senior coverage officers for new business pitches, RFPs, and strategic client dialogues.
  • Develop a network of contacts internally (across IBD, Markets, Research, Wealth) and externally (intermediaries, advisors, centres of influence) to cultivate business introductions and referral flow.
  • Family Office Coverage
  • Support the coverage of Single Family Offices (SFOs), Multi-Family Offices (MFOs), and Family Office principals, developing an understanding of each family's wealth structure, governance, investment mandate, and generational objectives.
  • Assist in delivering the full Citi platform to Family Office clients — including private banking, investment solutions, custody, capital markets access, lending, direct investments/co-investments, alternatives, philanthropy, and next-generation programming.
  • Prepare bespoke Family Office materials including institutional-quality pitchbooks, portfolio reviews, market updates, thematic research summaries, and peer benchmarking analyses.
  • Coordinate Family Office events, roundtables, and educational forums in partnership with the coverage team and internal events management team.
  • Track and analyze Family Office industry trends, competitor activity, and regulatory developments relevant to the segment.
  • Marketing, Events & Communications
  • Take responsibility for events management in partnership with the internal events management team, including Family Office and UHNW client events, thought-leadership forums, and product launches.
  • Manage, monitor, and report on budgets and invoices pertaining to the small events programme.
  • Support marketing communication materials in partnership with global marketing and product marketing teams; monitor the effectiveness of campaigns and client outreach initiatives.
  • Process, Risk & Controls
  • Monitor and adapt to changes in business processes, policies, and the regulatory environment.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline internal processes and origination workflows to improve efficiency and the client experience.
  • Maintain a continuous learning program through internal courses and relevant external certifications.
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct, and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications

  • A good track record of relevant experience in Private Banking, Wealth Management, Investment Banking, Family Office advisory, or a closely related client-facing financial services role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of banking, markets and wealth products, platforms, tools, and capabilities — including credit and lending, investments, capital markets, trust and estate solutions, and alternatives.

Familiarity with Family Office structures, governance models, and multi-generational wealth planning is strongly preferred.

  • Exposure to investment banking origination and the ability to identify and articulate wealth-creation events and cross-franchise opportunities between IBD and Private Bank.
  • Proactive, driven, commercially minded self-starter with strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Project management skills: highly organized and efficient; ability to effectively prioritize competing demands and adhere to time-sensitive daily deadlines is critical.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Power Point, Excel, and CRM tools; familiarity with financial data platforms (e. g., Bloomberg, Fact Set, Pitch Book) is preferred.
