Team/Role Overview
The Loans Agency – Deal Onboarding Intermediate Analyst is a growing professional role. Applies knowledge, contributing to the development of new techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the area or function. Supports and assists Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area.
What you will do
- Support the onboarding of syndicated loan facilities within the assigned portfolio, ensuring accurate setup in line with internal standards and credit documentation.
- Assist in the preparation and input of new deals and facilities into Loan IQ, ensuring completeness and accuracy prior to senior review and authorisation.
- Review Loan Agreements and Facility Summaries to extract key operational requirements, funding mechanics, and Agency obligations.
- Perform detailed checks of drawdown notices and funds flow instructions to ensure alignment with deal documentation and internal procedures.
- Highlight key risks or discrepancies for Transaction Management (TM) and senior colleagues.
- Support funding activities by validating transaction details, sequencing requirements, and conditions precedent.
- Identify and escalate documentation or operational issues to senior team members for review and resolution.
- Maintain and update loan-related static data within Loan IQ, ensuring ongoing data integrity.
Secondary Loan Transfers
- Process secondary loan transfers in accordance with established procedures and deal provisions.
- Record and track transfer certificates and ensure all required documentation is complete.
- Validate transfer details prior to submission for review/approval.
- Coordinate with the KYC Onboarding team to support completion of regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with counterparties to coordinate settlement dates and support timely execution of transfers.
Primary Syndication Support
- Support coordination with Front Office and Agency teams on primary syndication activities.
- Assist in ensuring all KYC requirements are completed and static data is set up accurately.
- Provide regular status updates to management and highlight any delays or issues.
- Assist in managing large lender syndications, ensuring all operational steps are actioned and tracked.
- Support coordination of settlement timelines via ClearPar and follow up to ensure deadlines are met.
What we’ll need from you
- Previous relevant experience in loan operations / agency / syndicated loans
- Hands-on experience with Loan IQ
- Strong attention to detail with ability to work under supervision in a controlled environment
- Good understanding of syndicated loan lifecycle and documentation
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
