Join Citi’s Markets Operations team and start your professional journey at the heart of global financial markets. This is your opportunity to step directly into a critical role where you’ll gain hands on experience supporting the processes that keep Citi’s global markets business running smoothly.
From the moment you join, you’ll play an integral part in the trade lifecycle, helping ensure trades move seamlessly from trade capture through to final settlement. You’ll work closely with Front Office, Technology, internal and external clients and Global Operations – contributing to efficient trade processing, strong controls, and a first class client experience.
This role offers unmatched exposure to the breadth of Citi’s markets business and provides a clear pathway for long‑term career development across a wide range of operational and strategic functions.
What you’ll do
- Support key stages of the trade lifecycle, helping ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently on behalf of our clients.
- Investigate issues, analyze discrepancies, and work with teams across the business to deliver timely solutions.
- Perform essential checks that help safeguard our business, while contributing to process improvements, automation initiatives, and the adoption of new technologies.
- Work directly with internal teams and external clients to resolve queries, support trade processing, and ensure a smooth front‑to‑back experience.
- Develop a strong understanding of financial products, operational workflows, and the systems that enable global trading at scale.
What we’ll need from you
- You must have already graduated or be graduating from a University degree in 2026, preferably within a Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a Business discipline.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑moving environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Positive can‑do attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Bachelor’s/University degree. Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business preferred; other disciplines considered with relevant skills/interest.
- Interest in AI tooling, data analysis, process optimization and automation.
- Curiosity about financial markets or how global markets operate.
