Citi is looking for a Global Equities Business Execution Support and New Business Execution Assistant Vice President to join a newly established and high-impact team within the Equities COO function, based in Belfast.

In this role, you will support all product execution teams as well as new business activities across Global Equities.

The Assistant Vice President will be instrumental in driving efficiencies through the centralization of key administrative and operational activities, directly supporting sales and trading desks, and developing deep equity product expertise.

The role serves as a single global point of contact for Originators within the NAC process, ensuring extensive 1LOD/2LOD engagement, established best practices, robust governance, and transparent management information.

Reporting to the Equities Business Execution Team this position offers genuine breadth of exposure across the Equities business and a clear opportunity for career growth within a critical and expanding team.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end Product and Policy List administration, including processing new requests, monitoring and remediating breaches, conducting annual reviews, and coordinating with Risk teams to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate centralised third-party onboarding activities, including new venue onboarding, third-party risk assessments, periodic attestations, and licensing renewals, escalating complex issues to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Administer Trade Venue Inventory records, supporting exchange and broker logging activities to maintain accurate and up-to-date data across the platform.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of firm accounts, nodes, and system mapping tables across equity risk and position management systems to ensure data integrity and operational accuracy.
  • Support global headcount management across the Equities COO team, maintaining accurate tracking and reporting across all geographies.
  • Perform monthly reviews of regulatory metrics exceptions, identifying anomalies and escalating items requiring further review in line with Volcker Rule obligations.
  • Track and monitor client settlement adherence on a quarterly basis in line with FINRA Rule requirements, identifying non-compliant clients and coordinating internal escalation and outreach.
  • Manage desk-level projects and business initiatives, coordinating across teams and seniority levels to ensure timely and effective delivery.

  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate complex processes, manage competing priorities, and deliver outcomes across multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively across teams and seniority levels.
  • Able to perform well in high-pressure, fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Skilled in conducting research and analysis, with the ability to structure and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
  • Strong aptitude for leveraging technology to streamline and improve operational processes.
  • Confident in strategic planning and producing well-structured presentations for senior audiences.
  • Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in Equities markets, with direct exposure to equity trade and processing flows.
  • Familiarity with financial services products, including cash equities, derivatives, or Prime brokerage.
  • Knowledge of financial services technology platforms and their role in supporting trade and operational workflows.
