We are looking for a seasoned production support engineer who would be part of the global execution services support team.
The person would support the Custody FX product within Execution Services.
The role demands engaging various stakeholders including Development and Business partners and providing level 2 support for troubleshooting production issues.
What you’ll do
- The Application Support Senior Analyst provides technical and business support for users of Citi Applications.
This includes providing quick resolutions to app issues, driving stability, efficiency and effectiveness improvements to help us and the business succeed.
Manages, maintains and supports applications and their operating environments, focusing on stability, quality and functionality against service level expectations.
- Start of day checks, continuous monitoring, and regional handover.
- Partner with appropriate development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements.
- Participate in application releases, from development, testing and deployment into production.
- Day‑to‑day monitoring and observability of the applications and work to enhance them proactively or at the back of any issues.
- Work on engineering aspects of the role to reduce toil in the systems, enhance observability and reporting.
- Communicating with operations, traders to troubleshoot the issues with applications and communicate effectively.
- Drive major incident meetings, impact analysis and communications and problem management to understand the root cause.
What we’ll need from you
- Relevant experience in an application support role, preferably in an FX suite of applications including trading and settlements.
- Hands‑on experience with cloud servers such as ECS and AWS, MS SQL / Oracle Database, Windows and UNIX OS.
Should understand how monitoring works, preferably with ITRS Geneos, and understanding of MQ or other mechanisms.
Experience developing automation with shell scripting or Python would be an add‑on.
- Well aware of ITIL principles such as Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management.
- Effective written and verbal communications, including the ability to explain technical issues in simple terms that non‑IT staff can understand.
- Good analytical skills.
- Effectively share information with other support team members and with other technology teams.
