The Liquidity Coverage Team is the primary point of contact for many of liquidity deliverables per Citi’s liquidity Risk Management Policy and Procedures. The team has substantial daily interactions with legal entity Treasurers and Risk Managers and facilitates the implementation of Policy and Procedure requirements for liquidity deliverables across the firm with a focus on streamlining and standardising deliverables to achieve consistency where appropriate. One of the key aspects of this role will be working on the Citigroup Contingency Funding Plan (CFP) as well as working on Funding and Liquidity Plans and related models. The candidate would be expected to have at least 6 years of financial services experience, preferably within Finance, Treasury or Risk. This is a global role and gives the individual a unique opportunity to gain exposure to Citi’s balance sheet and legal entities and to develop an understanding of liquidity management processes.

  • Calibrates CFP Early Warning Indicators (EWIs) and other related triggers using statistical analysis and market knowledge.
  • Updates Citi’s CFP EWI models and addresses any related Model Risk Management (MRM) limitations.
  • Ensures proper senior communication, coordination, and escalation during times of a liquidity crisis.
  • Forecasts the impact of CFP actions on LCR/NSFR and internal stress tests for Citigroup and CBNA Consolidated.
  • Assists the team lead on the CFP Tabletop exercise.
  • Reviews and updates the Funding and Liquidity Plan (FLP) Model and engages with MRM to address any model limitations.
  • Leads efforts to optimize trapped liquidity across international legal entities.
  • Coordinates and consolidates global FX limit requests for internal stress tests.
  • Coordinates and reviews US LCR HQLA test submissions.
  • Coordinates horizontal liquidity reviews of legal entities.
  • Ensures timely submissions and approvals of all liquidity deliverables and updates the Liquidity Tracker accordingly.
  • Updates procedure governance documents as needed.
  • Assists in preparing materials for various committees.
  • Contributes to the development of comprehensive controls.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to streamline work; creates process improvements that enhance efficiency for self and the team.
  • Performs other duties and functions as assigned.

Experience in Finance, Treasury, Risk (especially Model Risk), Statistics or Audit functions is required. The candidate should have a solid working knowledge of liquidity concepts and metrics such as US LCR, US Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR) and internal stress testing. The candidate must have strong analytical skills (including advanced Maths/Excel skills) and be a team player who can collaborate across different levels and functions in the organisation. The individual needs to be an innovative self‑starter, with an ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and effectively collaborate with various groups. Experience managing large datasets and extrapolating insights for various risk metrics. Deep understanding of regulatory requirements and guidance, particularly for liquidity risk. Advanced quantitative skills. Experience with SharePoint, Tableau, SQL, Python or Bloomberg is a plus. Strong oral and written communication skills; comfortable making presentations and ability to articulate complex problems and solutions. Strong analytical skills and ability to review and comprehend large sets of data. Strong attention to detail with a proven ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms. Exceptional project management skills with a track record of managing complex cross‑functional programs/projects and achieving milestones and deadlines.
