Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships with Citi network and operational teams, becoming a key contact for client requests, internal escalations, and resolution.
  • Support the Senior Relationship Manager in managing the assigned portfolio of clients.
  • Work closely with Senior Relationship Managers to provide a Client First approach, delivering outstanding day‑to‑day banking and operational support to Mid‑Market clients.
  • Call on clients to maximize the One Citi client experience, proactively leveraging Citi’s market‑leading insights, global network, and solutions.
  • Monitor and support product implementation processes, client onboarding, and manage the sales CRM platform.
  • Liaise with the Relationship Associate to ensure adherence to global KYC (Know Your Customer) standards during onboarding and ongoing compliance deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain strong ties with Commercial Banking teams worldwide, collaborating with product and risk teams.
  • Assist Senior Relationship Managers in analysing client relationships, risks, and opportunities, supporting credit application write‑ups, financial spreading, deal structuring, returns calculation, documentation review, and preparation; administer credit relationships in line with policies and processes.
  • Understand key commercial banking processes and solutions, including Transactional Banking, FX, Trade, Treasury, Working Capital, and Lending.
  • Support Senior Relationship Managers on solution assessment, pitch‑book preparation, and new client acquisition.
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders to deliver best‑in‑class relationship management to existing and new clients.
  • Appropriately assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, regulations, and fiduciary responsibilities.

Certification & Compliance:

  • Role is subject to FCA & PRA Certification Regime as a Certified Role. Employees must be assessed as Fit and Proper, considering honesty, integrity, financial soundness, competence, and capability.
  • Assessment includes interviews, self‑disclosures, criminal record checks, reference checks, credit checks, and other background screening.
  • Employees must not perform a Certified Role without first being certified as Fit and Proper.

Qualifications:

  • Previous banking experience.
  • Experience in Commercial/Corporate banking is desirable.
  • Experience in a client relationship or client‑facing role.
  • Strong sales, presentation, and communication skills with a focus on first‑class service quality.
  • Analytical and credit skills.
  • High level of self‑motivation.
  • Knowledge of general banking processes and commercial banking solutions.
  • Ability to build and develop strong client relationships.
  • Effective collaboration skills with Senior Relationship Managers and Commercial Banking partners.
  • Analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM applications.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience.
