FX Technology - Cross Border Payments, Senior Developer (VP) in City of Westminster

Overview

Hands on technical implementation of FX payments / trading systems.

The successful candidate will work with teams across FX Technology to implement solutions that benefit the business.

The role does not involve budget responsibility.

Drive the design and development of system architecture, work with end-users of the systems, and enhance the quality of deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Ensure staff follows Citi documented policy and procedures and maintain desktop procedures and supporting documentation for filings on a current basis and in a comprehensive manner.
• Contribute to defining and implementing best practices and processes for the department and ensure transparency and consistency across teams.
• Work directly with trading and quant teams to deliver robust FX technology solutions.
• Participate in a hands-on implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization of systems (software, hardware, networks) as needed to define and solve technical challenges.
• Engage with end users to understand requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs.
• Communicate effectively at all levels, from individual teams to the enterprise, and provide detailed, constructive analysis and feedback on products and codebases.
• Stay aware of industry trends and leverage new technologies as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Proven understanding of FX; highly preferred.
• Understanding of ultra-low-latency development practices.
• Proven track record of building new systems, replacing legacy systems, and renovating existing systems.
• Knowledge of systems (software, hardware, networks) required to define solutions and troubleshoot issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with teams across the organization.
