Citi is hiring a Senior Vice President, Headcount & Financial Management to join the Client Organization’s COO team — a high‑visibility role at the intersection of operational delivery and executive strategy. In this position, you will serve as a central point of coordination for planning cycles, leadership reporting, and cross‑functional engagement, translating complex business information into clear, decision‑ready outputs for senior stakeholders. This is an opportunity to shape how one of the world’s leading financial institutions operates at scale, working directly alongside senior leadership to drive consistency, quality, and impact across the Client Organization.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end‑to‑end headcount and financial management processes for the Client Organization business aligned team.
  • Ensure planning and forecast cycles are delivered with consistency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Manage workforce planning accuracy, including headcount tracking, real estate inventory, and the onboarding and off‑boarding of resources.
  • Oversee financial controls across the department, applying knowledge of profit and loss, accruals, allocations, and fixed price contracts to improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner with finance, human resources, and business leadership to maintain a strong control environment by identifying and escalating issues with transparency.
Required Qualifications & Skills
  • 10 or more years of experience in financial services, operating in complex, multi‑stakeholder environments at a senior level.
  • Experience in business management, chief‑of‑staff, or equivalent functions within a global organization.
  • Ability to synthesize large volumes of information into clear, concise outputs suitable for senior leadership audiences.
  • Skilled at coordinating across teams with competing priorities and deadlines, maintaining quality and accuracy under pressure.
  • Clear and precise written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt messaging to different levels of seniority.
  • Working knowledge of financial management principles including headcount and expense management, accruals, allocations, and fixed price contracts.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
Beneficial Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with data visualization and collaboration tools such as Tableau and SharePoint, applied to improve reporting efficiency and team coordination.
  • Experience using AI tools and prompting techniques to streamline operational tasks and enhance productivity.
  • Previous experience in business management, COO, or CAO roles within large banks or financial institutions, with a working knowledge of Citi’s products, services, or organizational structure.
  • Knowledge of Institutional Credit Management, Research, Marketing, or Ventures would be a plus.
  • A Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant field.
