This is a strategic, execution-focused leadership role responsible for leading a globally distributed team from our strategic Belfast site. You will drive end-to-end global transfer clearance delivery across a complex, multi-regulatory environment.
Operating at the intersection of data, technology, and regulation, you will be a key leader in the global organization, responsible for translating diverse regulatory requirements into practical, scalable execution models. - Manage the full lifecycle from intake through approval and audit readiness, ensuring adherence to a 15-business-day operating model across all regions.
- Actively manage the global team's throughput, backlog, and cycle time—identifying and removing bottlenecks to ensure predictable, high-quality delivery worldwide.
- Lead across a highly matrixed global environment, aligning Business, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Risk stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes.
- Establish and report on key global metrics (SLA adherence, cycle time, throughput, backlog) to provide strong execution visibility and drive a continuous improvement agenda.
- Drive the implementation of global transformation initiatives to simplify processes, standardize workflows, and improve operating efficiency across the function.
- Champion the elimination of fragmentation and manual intervention by building scalable, globally consistent execution models.
- Serve as a senior subject matter expert on global data transfer frameworks, including privacy, localization, bank secrecy, and outsourcing requirements.
- Translate complex regulatory expectations into clear workflows, robust control frameworks, and system-embedded decisioning for your global team.
- Drive the practical operationalization of regulatory requirements, designing and implementing solutions that enable compliant data flows in real-world environments.
- Ensure all processes are compliant by design, consistently executed, and audit-ready across all jurisdictions.
- Apply expert judgment to make fast, practical, and risk-balanced decisions with global impact.
- Champion the integration of AI-assisted screening to accelerate intake and early-stage assessment across the global team.
- Drive the adoption of agentic AI across the broader workflow, including decision support, workflow orchestration, and rule execution.
- Partner closely with Technology to scale automation and build intelligent, data-driven execution capabilities.
- Enable regulatory requirements to be embedded into systems, tooling, and automated workflows.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders globally, acting as a key leader for the global data transfer function.
- Influence and drive alignment from discussion to decision to execution, ensuring your global team's contribution is visible and impactful.
- Maintain a strong executive presence with the ability to challenge, align, and deliver outcomes at pace.
- Significant progressive experience in regulatory, compliance, data governance, legal, or operational delivery roles within large-scale, global institutions.
- Experience from management consulting with a focus on regulatory transformation or large-scale program delivery is highly desirable.
- Significant proven years leading significant transformation and process simplification initiatives, with a portfolio of demonstrated, measurable impact.
- Professional certifications in privacy (e.g., CIPP, CIPT) or audit (e.g., CISA, CIA) are highly preferred.
- Extensive experience in people management and leadership, with a proven ability to build, mentor, and develop high-performing, globally distributed teams.
- A strong execution-first mindset with a proven track record of delivering complex global programs at scale.
- Ability to operate effectively in high-pressure, matrixed environments, driving momentum and resolving blockers with urgency.
- Deep, hands-on experience operationalizing complex regulatory frameworks beyond simple policy interpretation.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement practical, scalable solutions that enable compliant data flows in a regulated environment.
- Strong partnership with engineering and business teams, with experience leveraging automation, AI-driven workflows, and scalable platforms to solve business problems.
- A thorough understanding of how to embed regulatory requirements into systems and operational processes.
- Exceptional communication and executive presence, with the ability to influence globally and drive decisions into execution.
- Bachelor's/University degree required.
- Master's degree or advanced professional certification is highly preferred.
