Responsibilities
- Coordinate the day-to-day delivery of the AI programme and associated initiatives, managing multiple workstreams simultaneously to keep delivery on track in a fast-paced environment; anticipate and actively address approval bottlenecks; develop best practices to facilitate fast execution.
- Lead and streamline the process for submitting and securing thematic approvals for AI and emerging technologies, ensuring compliance with all internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Organise and maintain governance processes across the programme, ensuring decisions are documented accurately, actions are followed up, and controls records are kept to a consistently high standard.
- Identify, prioritise and support the resolution of changes to the AI approval process, ensuring it remains efficient and effective.
- Manage stakeholder communications across all levels — from analysts to senior leadership — providing regular, clear updates on programme status, issues, and risks.
- Translate business needs into well-structured requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria that can be acted on by delivery and technology teams.
- Produce data analysis, visualisations, and presentation materials that give senior leadership clear, actionable insight into programme performance.
- Monitor the implementation of business controls and ensure adherence to relevant policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements across the programme.
- Coordinate programme planning activities — including scope definition, milestone tracking, and resource alignment — to ensure delivery commitments are met.
- Identify and elevate programme risks in a timely manner, supporting the development and execution of mitigation plans to protect delivery outcomes.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven experience in programme delivery, business management, PMO, or controls within the financial services industry, with direct experience coordinating cross-functional programmes in a complex organisation.
- Extensive practical knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts and their application in financial services, with the ability to engage meaningfully with technical teams and understand data flows and solution design at a working level.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation, with the ability to produce clear, impactful reports and presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel to an advanced level.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver high-quality outputs consistently under time pressure.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage clearly and credibly with stakeholders from junior analysts through to senior management.
- Working knowledge of governance, controls, and documentation standards in a regulated financial services environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
