Team/Role Overview: This exciting opportunity is responsible for leading the growing technical support team for OTC Derivatives and Margin processing applications during the EMEA business hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring end-to-end uptime of the applications in scope and facing off to the primary stakeholders in the region while managing the day-to-day work allocation of the team staff. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a multicultural team located over 2-3 locations within the region and influence the global operational effectiveness of a larger group supporting the business.
What you’ll do:
- Provide expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of apps support.
- Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex, high impact application enhancements and problem resolution through in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex business processes, systems and industry standards, documents requirements.
- Partner with multiple technology areas and management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts to determine and document systems impacts and support requirements.
- Identify risks, vulnerabilities and security issues; communicate impact; propose risk mitigation options.
- Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Persuade and influence others through strong and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behaviour, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
What we’ll need from you:
- Experience supporting Margin processing and/or OTC derivatives and/or Securities Settlement applications in Capital Markets.
- Hands-on leader in troubleshooting system issues, leading triage calls and root cause analysis.
- Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills, prior experience in crisis management, user frontline support for business-critical platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills.
- Service-oriented attitude, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient using basic technical tools and systems with respect to IT service management.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to articulate business/material impact of technical systems failures, enhancement or capability to non-technical users.
- Ability to influence/convince senior stakeholders on mandate progress updates.
