CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to support in our state-of-the-art Power Plant in Cape Preston on a permanent 8/6 roster, FIFO ex Perth. Reporting to the Superintendent - Electrical Engineering, this role is responsible for providing engineering advice, expertise and guidelines for commissioning, operation and maintenance in accordance with regulations, Australian Standards, industrial practice and statutory requirements.
In this role you'll be responsible for:
- Operation support, preventive maintenance, system or equipment modification and retrofit technical document preparation.
- Asset regular inspection, spare parts management, review equipment operation parameters and monitoring inspection data.
- Develop activities, procedure, acceptance inspection criteria and budget for inspection and maintenance.
- Schedule equipment maintenance and overhaul, develop scope of work for outsourced contract.
- Provide technical guide and support as to OMT team’s requirement.
- Take part in acceptance inspection and test and developing process optimization and performance improvement.
Successful applicants will have:
- A current WA Drivers Licence is essential.
- Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 2 years' experience in an engineering environment involved in Power System design, commissioning, operation and maintenance.
- Sound knowledge of electrical engineering, electrical system operation, protection and control.
- Professional knowledge of generator, transformer, switchgear, circuit breaker, electric motor, VSD, CT, PT, protection relay etc.
- Be familiar with operation procedure, periodic inspection.
