Junior D1 Trader, Equity Derivatives - CITIC CLSA

Position Description

The Junior D1 Trader will assume a vital role in our trading team, focusing on the European and US TRS (Total Return Swap) book. As a Junior D1 Trader, you will be responsible for executing trades, hedging risks, and analyzing market trends to identify potential trading opportunities. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Key Areas of Responsibilities

• Managing the European and US TRS book. Hedging risks of the book in the European and US market opening time
• Analysing the inventory stability and looking for outperformance opportunities
• Developing systematic tool of transaction analysis
• Developing on the systematic hedging/alpha strategy on EMEA/US market
• Monitoring the automated trading program developed by EQD BJ team during LN hours
• Working with traders from other regions on the cross-region arbitrage
• Monitoring and analysing market conditions, news, and events to identify potential risks and opportunities
• Exploring and analysing diverse datasets to identify trading opportunities and market trends

Requirements

• Degree holder in Finance, Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering or related discipline(s)
• Fluent in English and Chinese language desirable
• Coding skills are preferred
• Strong work ethic and motivation
• Ability to think fast and critically, solve various problems arising from trading, risk and operations
• Ability to work under pressure and collaborate in a team.
