Team/Position Overview: Collateral Optimization in Markets operations is a growing team established to deliver best-in class capabilities in collateral management, inventory management, risk management and collateral efficiency. The team supports global markets business working across products, regions and divisions, with a broad range of stakeholders. The objective of the team is to deliver efficient, controlled and scalable collateral optimization, supporting cost reduction and capacity growth.
The position advertised is a senior analyst role within the Collateral Funding & Projections team residing within the wider Collateral optimization business unit. This is a great opportunity to join a high performing & energized team who directly interact with triparty agents, global clients, exchanges, central securities depositories (CSDs), central counterparties (CCPs) and support our trading desk across 3 key regions (Europe, Asia and the United States). The senior analyst will be responsible for the production of the daily collateral & liquidity funding reports to the business and Corporate Treasury, providing continuous monitoring of the settlement of trades, the management of fails ensuring collateral demand is met with collateral supply and the identification and management of risk.
This is a high-profile global team with exposure to large value trades and at times high volume. The role involves daily engagement with clients, internal stakeholders and triparty vendors to resolve collateral settlement issues and identify/resolve root cause. The successful candidate will receive supportive training and a personal development plan to help them succeed within this role and develop their career at Citi.
Key Responsibilities:
- Running daily reports to enable the creation of funding projections to be shared with the Finance desk and Corp Treasury.
- Regular communication with clients and trading desks, with focus on exception reconciliation.
- Engagement with Corporate Treasury stakeholders monitoring Treasury Controlled Locations.
- Manage settlement of Triparty Repo transactions.
- Documentation and publication of senior management reporting where required.
- Work closely with triparty agents and triparty infrastructures.

- Build and develop relationships with other internal teams and clients.
- To oversee junior staff.
- Analyse unfunded positions and provide feedback to the business.
- Investigate large volumes of data to find and resolve differences in trade economics.
- Manage multiple internal and vendor systems to find exceptions and resolve.
- Prioritize daily workload efficiently to meet deadlines.
