This is a high-profile, client-facing leadership role within our Markets Operations function. You will lead the Client Service team, with a focus on client book management across Securities Borrowing & Lending (SBL). You will serve as the primary escalation point for clients and internal partners, driving service excellence and operational control in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with external clients through regular engagement and structured client-facing meetings.
- Act as the primary escalation point for all SBL-related client issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Provide dedicated support to business desks for client queries and issues.
- Oversee accurate monthly fee accruals to prevent P&L adjustments.
- Liaise with internal partners across Product Control, Settlements, Prime Brokerage, and Asset Servicing to ensure seamless end-to-end trade lifecycle support.
- Maintain a robust control environment by continuously monitoring processes and risks, and escalating issues proactively.
- Lead the delivery of team-initiated projects from requirements definition through to production release.
- Partner with the business to define new trading flows and key responsibilities for new products and processes.
- Supervise and develop junior team members, acting as first point of escalation for internal and external issues.
- Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, support performance reviews, and contribute to individual development planning.
- Actively participate in recruitment, onboarding, and team retention initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to reduce operational risk through enhanced controls and process re-engineering.
- Contribute to automation and straight-through processing (STP) initiatives, including the use of digital tools, robotics, and workflow technologies.
- Provide input into strategic platform initiatives that reduce manual touchpoints and align technology delivery to business goals.
