Citi's Markets business is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join a globally managed team at the centre of derivatives data integrity and collateral operations. In this role, you will take ownership of day-to-day data and documentation workflows within Master Agreement Central (MAC), a critical web-based repository that underpins collateral processing across Citi's downstream systems and business functions. Your work will directly shape the accuracy and reliability of data that is relied upon by margin operations, risk and control teams, technology, and client onboarding functions across the firm.
Responsibilities- Analyse derivatives documentation and accurately apply contractual terms within MAC to ensure the integrity of data relied upon by downstream Citi systems and stakeholders.
- Manage high volumes of daily communications from internal business functions — including margin operations, XVA, technology, and client onboarding — resolving data and documentation issues within MAC efficiently and to deadline.
- Take senior ownership of project deliverables, coordinating workstreams across data, technology, and product initiatives while contributing directly to team strategy and workload planning.
- Lead the preparation and presentation of analytical work to support both internal and external audit processes, ensuring findings are clearly communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
- Assess and resolve margin breaches arising from operations teams by identifying root causes within MAC data and applying appropriate corrective action.
- Evaluate collateral schedules — covering both regulatory initial margin and variation margin — and ensure that collateral composition within MAC accurately reflects the terms of the underlying security agreements.
- Participate in MAC strategy, development, and maintenance discussions, contributing informed analysis to decisions that affect the platform and its user community.
- Experience in a role involving derivatives documentation, collateral operations, or a closely related area of financial services.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret, analyse, and apply information from collateral schedules within security agreements to real operational scenarios.
- Proven capacity to manage multiple concurrent tasks and respond dynamically to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Familiarity with the MAC (Master Agreement Central) application or similar centralised data repository platforms used in financial operations.
- Working knowledge of legal agreements relevant to derivatives and collateral, such as ISDA master agreements or credit support annexes.
- General understanding of Citi's Markets business, including the functions and interdependencies of margin operations, risk and control, and client onboarding teams.
This is an opportunity to build a meaningful career at the heart of a global Markets function, working alongside experienced professionals on a platform that sits at the core of Citi's derivatives infrastructure. You will gain exposure to a wide range of business functions, develop deep expertise in collateral and derivatives data operations, and take on genuine ownership in a role that carries real impact.
- A hybrid working model with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely, giving you flexibility alongside meaningful team collaboration.
- Senior-level exposure to internal and external audit processes, MAC platform strategy, and cross-functional business initiatives from day one.
- Direct involvement in team strategy and workload planning, with the opportunity to shape how the team operates and evolves.
- Access to Citi's global network of professionals across Markets, technology, risk, and operations — broadening your perspective and professional connections.
- Structured learning and development opportunities to deepen your expertise in derivatives documentation, collateral management, and financial data operations.
- Competitive financial wellbeing support and a comprehensive benefits package tailored to your location.
Apply now to take ownership of a role where your expertise in derivatives data and collateral operations will have a direct and measurable impact on Citi's global Markets infrastructure.
