Key Responsibilities

- Drive the Roadmap: Translate the product vision into a clear, actionable roadmap for Capital Markets AI tooling. Develop and prioritize features, epics, and user stories to guide the engineering team in delivering high-value solutions that empower Capital Markets professionals.
- Lead from the Front: Act as the key technical and product leader for a dedicated team of engineers focused on Capital Markets solutions. Mentor team members, establish modern engineering best practices, and foster a culture of excellence and rapid iteration.
- Bridge Business and Tech: Serve as the primary liaison between Capital Markets business stakeholders, end-users, and the development team. Articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and translate business requirements from the Capital Markets domain into robust technical designs that facilitate business growth and client service.
- Hands-On Prototyping and Architecture: Be prepared to get hands-on with building proofs-of-concept and initial prototypes to validate ideas quickly, particularly for novel AI applications in Capital Markets tooling.
- Champion and Influence: Influence and negotiate with senior leadership within Banking Technology and Capital Markets to secure buy-in and resources for your product vision. Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes effectively across all levels of the organization, highlighting the strategic importance of enhanced Capital Markets tooling for business expansion and client satisfaction.
- Manage Risk and Compliance: Uphold the firm's commitment to risk management and compliance. Ensure that all product decisions and technical implementations for Capital Markets tooling adhere to the highest standards of security, ethics, and regulatory requirements, safeguarding the firm and its clients.
Qualifications
- Experience: Significant proven experience in technology, with a proven track record of shipping products from concept to launch in a product-centric or entrepreneurial role.
- Product & Engineering Hybrid: Demonstrated experience in a role that blends product management (defining the "what" and "why") with software engineering (defining the "how"). This role requires a strong product mindset, with deep technical expertise.
- AI/ML Expertise: Deep subject matter expertise in applying modern AI/ML techniques to solve real-world business problems. Experience with NLP, predictive modeling, or generative AI is highly desirable, especially in the context of Capital Markets.
- Domain Knowledge: A strong understanding of core banking, financial technology, and critically, a deep understanding of Capital Markets processes, including ECM deal execution, financing workflows, and the application of AI agents to drive business growth, opportunity identification, and client servicing within this sector.
- Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and inspire cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, agile environment. Experience with project management and influencing without direct authority.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive decisions among senior leaders and diverse stakeholders, including Capital Markets professionals and their leadership.
