The UK EMEA FX Structuring and Solutions (FXSS) team is a critical component of Global FX Structuring and Solutions, dedicated to empowering corporate and investor clients to comprehensively assess and proactively manage their FX risk, as well as seek Alpha from market opportunities. As the Regional FXSS Head, this senior leader will be responsible for setting strategy and leading a team of highly technical structurers across two locations. Operating on the public-side, the Head of UKEMEA FXSS will lead collaborations with FX Sales, Trading, and Banking to drive targeted origination, solutions development, and commercialization efforts across the region.
This position is pivotal for a strategic professional and subject matter expert responsible for leading the design, development, and analysis of innovative financial products and risk management solutions across the UKEMEA region. This role requires deep quantitative skills, strong leadership and management capabilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and solving complex client challenges. The Regional Head will be instrumental in guiding the team to leverage cutting-edge tools and data insights to quantify FX risk, design innovative hedging solutions to mitigate exposure, and implement market access strategies for outperformance.
This position requires a leader who can not only manage complex processes but also elevate the overall capabilities of the team and contribute to enhancing sales efforts and client knowledge through strategic training and solutions innovation. The individual will be based in London.
Qualifications:
- Master's Degree or equivalent in a quantitative field such as Finance, Mathematics, Science, or Engineering is highly preferred.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a significant advantage.
- Extensive and proven experience (10+ years) in FX risk management, structuring, and solutions within a financial institution, with a demonstrated track record of leading and driving commercialization efforts at a regional or senior level.
- Proven success in leading and managing client-facing teams, with a strong ability to set regional origination strategy, cultivate key relationships, and ensure the delivery of value-added services that lead to tangible revenue outcomes.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive for targeted business origination, coupled with exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills suitable for senior leadership.
- Profound experience in building and overseeing the development of sophisticated financial models, with a focus on leveraging data to generate unique, bespoke client and market insights at a regional strategic level.
Technical Expertise:
- Expert-level knowledge of FX Option pricing, derivative mechanics, and complex financial instruments, with the ability to guide and mentor a team in these areas.
- Demonstrated mastery of advanced financial modelling and quantitative analysis, and the ability to oversee and validate complex analytical work.
- Strong programming skills (e.g., Python, VBA) with proven experience in directing their application to financial analysis, tool development, or process automation across a team.
Regulatory & Credit Knowledge:
- Deep understanding of regulatory capital concepts (Basel III, RWA), credit risk mitigants (CVA), and ISDA documentation, with the ability to strategically interpret and apply these across regional client solutions.
- Proven ability to read and interpret corporate financial statements and apply accounting principles to solution design, and to ensure consistent application by the team.
- Experience in navigating and enhancing FX platforms, addressing challenges such as platform antiquated systems, and leading strategic improvements and platform evolution.
- Proven ability to adapt to a dynamic regulatory environment, including complex policies, and to lead the management of processes for New Activities effectively across the region.

Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of FX structurers across two locations, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous development.
- Define and execute the strategic direction for UKEMEA FX Structuring and Solutions, aligning with global objectives and regional market opportunities.
- Oversee and guide the design, pricing, and development of innovative and bespoke financial products, with a focus on FX and derivatives, to meet the specific needs of institutional and corporate clients in the UKEMEA region.
- Ensure the team conducts in-depth quantitative analysis, including payoff risk and P&L impact scenarios, customized back-testing, and complex portfolio analysis to validate and support proposed solutions.
- Direct the development, maintenance, and enhancement of sophisticated financial models to analyze client exposures, quantify risk, and demonstrate the efficacy of hedging and investment strategies.
- Act as a key technical partner to client-facing teams (Sales, Banking), providing deep product expertise and analytical support, and empowering the team to do the same, throughout the client lifecycle, from initial analysis to execution.
- Drive the regional agenda for product and payoff innovation, from conceptualization and feasibility analysis through to the creation of marketing materials and go-to-market strategies, contributing directly to revenue recognition and improving go-to-market strategies for new ideas.
- Lead and direct targeted origination efforts across the region by deeply understanding and analyzing clients' FX exposures, leveraging data and AI for opportunity identification and replication, to provide optimal solutions in coordination with FX Sales and banking partners.
- Develop and lead the regional strategy for effective client coverage, including extensive travel to meet key clients, organize, and speak at multi-client seminars, actively working towards share of wallet goals.
- Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities, focusing on expanding non-payout and FI solutions into new markets, leveraging bespoke client insights.
- Ensure the team applies a deep understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Basel III, RWA, CVA) to structure holistic and efficient client solutions across developed, emerging and frontier markets.
- Lead strategic initiatives for the continuous improvement of the structuring function by developing advanced tools, automating analytical processes, and enhancing FX platforms, addressing challenges associated with antiquated FXO platforms.
- Engage strategically with key business partners in sales and banking, promoting upskilling through advanced product training and providing relevant thematic content that elevates client knowledge.
- Take a lead role in fostering an environment of collaboration within the team and with internal partners, embedding a mutual accountability mindset to allocate resources to highest-value opportunities and differentiate coverage models.
- Work in close partnership with control functions (Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Finance) to ensure a robust governance and control infrastructure for all new and existing products, particularly in light of evolving regulatory landscapes and AI-driven risk analysis and ensure team adherence to all relevant policies.
- Appropriately assess the risk/reward of all transactions, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding its clients and assets by ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
