This entry level role offers a unique opportunity within our Equity Cash Middle Office, focusing on supporting trading desks and clients. You will play a pivotal role in maintaining accurate records, enhancing process efficiency, and delivering robust operational support.
What you'll do- Operational Excellence: Proactively investigate and resolve trade discrepancies, breaks, and other operational issues, ensuring timely and accurate transaction booking and settlement.
- Front-Office Collaboration: Provide essential analytical and administrative support to front-office teams, fostering strong partnerships.
- Transaction Management: Lead daily reconciliation efforts across trades, positions, and cash balances between front office, back office, and external counterparties.
- Risk Mitigation & Compliance: Identify, assess, and escalate potential operational risks and control deficiencies. Monitor pre-trade and post-trade controls to prevent errors, ensure compliance, and contribute to strategic change projects, safeguarding the organization's integrity through adherence to policies, regulations, and ethical judgment.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to the development and implementation of process enhancements that boost efficiency, reduce errors, and mitigate risk, aligning with internal policies and external regulatory standards. Drive the adoption of innovative techniques for the trade lifecycle.
- Client & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, brokers, and custodians, addressing inquiries regarding trade status, and other post-trade activities. Cultivate strong working relationships with diverse internal stakeholders (trading, sales, compliance, technology) and external partners.
- Data-Driven Insights & Strategic Projects: Analyze operational data to identify trends, root causes, and propose actionable solutions for process optimization. Contribute to ad-hoc projects and analyses as required by management, shaping future strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proven ability to manage workloads and adhere to tight deadlines.
