You will work on a range of activities to support the day to day running of our global Markets business. You will be part of managing risk and executing controls in a fast-paced business. You’ll work alongside subject matter experts looking for opportunities to enhance processes leveraging technology to automate activities.
We provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to succeed. We’re committed to teaching you the ropes and then some. During the programme, you will study for a BSc (Hons) Business Technology Apprenticeship qualification. Aside from your peer group and manager, you will have a buddy and a dedicated programme manager. You will have access to first class technical and business training from a well-established team, plus Citi’s online training portal. Side by side job shadowing and coaching with your team will be combined with the opportunity to work with counterparts in one of the world’s largest investment banks. You will gain valuable insight into the workings of a large global financial Markets business. You will have exposure to a range of sales and trading activities and work with new and cutting-edge technologies.
Your Day will look something like this… Assignments change each year based on the business needs of the teams. Below are some examples:
- Data analysis – using business knowledge to assist with data analysis, identifying patterns and areas for investigation.
- Control Execution – running controls to ensure the smooth operation of sales and trading activity.
- Collaboration – meeting with colleagues discussing challenges and coming up with solutions.
- Organisational and operational efficiency improvements - Nobody likes to repeat the same actions every day and click the same buttons, so our apprentices get involved in efficiency improvements to see where tasks can be automated or streamlined to free their time to get involved in exciting projects!
We want to hear from you if…
- You have 5 GCSEs including Math with a minimum grade C (or equivalent) and English Language with a minimum grade C (or equivalent).
- You have A level grades BCC (or equivalent).
- You may also meet the course entry requirements with combinations of different qualifications to the same standard (provided subject requirements are met).
Successful applicants will be enrolled on to the Ulster University Business Technology BSc (Hons) Part-time Undergraduate course.
