Team/Role Overview
The Legal Support Specialist is a developing professional role, responsible for providing legal support to the Citi Legal team who executes legal programs and projects to achieve coordinated and efficient process improvements and legal tech support solutions. Reviews and assists with maintenance of knowledge management. Liaises with other control/functional businesses in support of initiatives and conducts independent research and analysis of matters, applying institutional knowledge and knowledge of laws, rules and regulations, to support in the identification of legal solutions situations or to formulate recommendations on approach or strategy.
What you’ll do
- Support activities related to legal operations, technology, budget, expenses, risk and controls, litigation, settlements or administration.
- Perform varied work requests from multiple sources that may be complex in character and have tight deadlines.
- Execute tasks associated with programs and projects.
- Provide analysis of matters in support of resolution of situations or to formulate an approach.
- Liaise with other control and functional business in support of project initiatives.
- May be responsible for billing or legal settlements.
- Works closely with the team’s manager to complete tasks assigned.

- Experience working in corporate legal department, law firm, financial services, consulting, technology firm or related industry.
- Must have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, exceptional verbal communication and listening skills.
- Project management knowledge.
- Understanding of the financial services industry.
