Citi is looking for placement analysts to join the UK Corporate Broking team in London, from February 2027.
Corporate Broking is a core part of our UK Investment Banking franchise and is at the heart of Citi’s coverage of blue chip clients, focusing primarily on FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 companies.
Corporate Broking is a role which is unique within investment banking.
We combine the skill‑set of corporate finance with a strong understanding of global equity markets and what is driving them.
Our work is fast‑paced and varied and no day is the same, ranging from keeping our clients well‑informed on the latest developments which are driving their share prices, to advising them on raising funds in the capital markets or executing IPOs and/or Mergers & Acquisitions.
Our competitive edge is based on building trusted relationships with our clients at the Board, CEO and CFO level, allowing us to bring the full capabilities of Citi’s global platform to bear in helping them achieve their strategic objectives.

During our 6‑month placement analyst program, which starts in February 2027, you will be assigned to the UK Corporate Broking team.
Successful placement analysts will be considered for a full time position after graduation.
Your time here will look something like this
- Keeping up to date on the latest news, developments and trends that are driving equity markets by using the intelligence of Citi’s global equities platform, communicating that information to your clients.
- Develop an understanding of how companies are viewed and valued by institutional investors through speaking to some of the most important mutual fund and hedge fund managers.
- Build financial models, assess valuation, and explore transaction opportunities for your clients.
- Conduct research and analyse industry trends.
- Help to strengthen your clients’ shareholder base by conducting analysis on potential new investors.
- Participate in client development by having an active role in building new and existing client relationships, and assisting in the presentation of new ideas to clients.
We want to hear from you if
- You are studying for a degree that allows for a 6‑month industrial placement or have graduated.
- Expected to achieve or have achieved a 2:1 (or equivalent) at undergraduate level in any degree discipline.
- You have an interest in business.
- You are available to start in February 2027.
