The role of the UX Designer is a senior level role significantly contributing to the research, analysis, and design of digital products and systems. You will play a key role in conceptualizing and crafting user-centric design solutions, collaborating closely with product and engineering teams to create intuitive, cohesive, and engaging experiences for users.
Role Overview/What will you do:
- Lead meetings with users, clients, product sponsors, and technology to understand project requirements.
- Plan and perform UX research, define information architecture, user journeys, and create personas.
- Identify metrics and data that can support decision-making, guiding tech partners where needed to add necessary metrics.
- Translate user needs and product requirements into UX requirements, user flows, sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs.
- Perform relevant testing to validate and inform design decisions.
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs using Figma.
- Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and other stakeholders to prioritize UX design work and create deliverables that satisfy user needs.
- Use and contribute to the approved design system.
- Contribute to design standards and best practices.
- Perform detailed handover to development teams, ensuring they have all they need to implement the designs.
- Provide ongoing support to development, with regular UX review checkpoints ensuring quality and specifications are as designed.
- Contribute to the wider UX community of practice.
- Promote the value of UX within the wider organization.
- Advocate for the user at all times, ensuring a user-centric design approach in all phases of design and development.
Key Skills and Experience required:
- Strong attention to detail & analytical skills.
- Significant experience on complex, enterprise-scale design projects.
- Experience in planning and conducting UX research.
- Knowledge of usability and accessibility principles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent skills in Figma.
- Experience in using/creating design systems.
Education:
- Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred (Optional).
- At least one formal UX Qualification is a strong plus.
