Team/Role Overview

The Client Executive group within Custody and Fund Services is responsible for owning, developing, and growing our platinum and priority client relationships ensuring client satisfaction, revenue growth and client profitability and efficiency. The Client Executive should fully understand the strategies executed by their clients and look to develop the relationship to enhance the footprint of Citi products with the client. They will be expected to provide cross product coverage, primary focus on Custody, Fund Services, Agency Lending and Collateral. Priority, content, and diversity of the work are dictated by the direction and demands of our clients and partners.

What you’ll do

  • Relationship Management: Build long lasting trusted client relationships – be a trusted advisor, act as client’s advocate within Citi. Leads and coordinates negotiation of all legal contracts and business / risk updates (with oversight from Legal and Product). Provides client with thought leadership on regulatory, industry and product solutions. Work in partnership with Citi teams and the client to ensure Citi is a top provider for the client. Understands existing and future products to propose recommendations. Ultimately responsible for Knowing the Client (KYC) and all associated approvals.
  • Financial: Client facing role responsible for the retention of existing revenue and generating of new revenue with their client through cross-selling. Understanding the client wallet, driving organic growth and the identification and execution of cross sell opportunities. Accountable for client profitability and efficiency. Negotiates pricing and terms for new products (in partnership with the Product organisation). Delivers the firm – refers business to firm-wide partners.
  • Client Satisfaction: Serves as an escalation point to engage client where not responsive to document remediation and renewal requests or when Client Service role cannot resolve. Accountable for client satisfaction, working with internal teams to ensure quality delivery, adherence with Service Level Agreements and governance of the overall relationship internally and with the client. Perform regular client reviews to determine overall client satisfaction and govern the action plans to address client concerns. Drive continuous enhancement of Citi products and services to our clients working with product, operations, and tech partners.

What we’ll need from you

  • Significant experience in a global financial institution with experience in Client Relationship management experience.
  • Experience of managing by influence and demonstrated ability to manage complex issue resolution.
  • Self-starter, good problem solver, results oriented.
  • Proven track record of cross selling skills.
  • Ability to take ownership and execute solutions with appropriate urgency.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the confidence to handle external meetings and discussions with Clients.
  • Client Executive must have an in-depth level of knowledge of the Custody and Funds industry, the client segment and good cross product knowledge of the services provided by Citi and the ability to bring all elements together seamlessly thus delivering the right solution for the client.
  • The ability to multitask and constantly assess and change priorities in line with the demands of the business and Client base.
  • Willingness and motivation to maintain a steep learning curve, keeping in tune with the business, client demands and global market developments.
  • A strong understanding of the regulatory, risk and control environment impacting our business.

Certification Regime
