Team/Role Overview

The Business Associate is a senior level position responsible for the overall administrative activities of a business. These tasks may include managing external audits, business continuity activities or addressing regulatory issues. The Senior Business Associate may coordinate and manage activities such as the tracking of business financials, employee headcount and other administrative needs as necessary. May manage ad hoc projects as requested.

What you’ll do

The candidate must be able to work effectively in a cross-functional environment without close supervision, and with colleagues who may not be in the same geographic location. In addition, the candidate must have excellent verbal and written communications, presentation skills and excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Business Administration/Governance
  • Problem-solving mindset capable of collaboration, building consensus, and completing implementation and add value beyond the scope of formal projects.
  • Liaise with and support global business execution leads (BE leads) and global horizontal business execution teams to ensure requests from the teams are addressed and delivered with high quality, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Assist business execution leads in financial and headcount deliverables including the multi-year forecasts, outlook processes as well as coordinating client allocations.
  • Routinely support the organization on senior leadership requests and business management routines such as Business Reviews, Strategic Planning, Offsite, etc.
  • Responsible for ad-hoc Business Management tasks that support the activities of the business including expense management, headcount planning, and financial reporting
  • Drive productivity / cost savings initiatives in partnership with the senior management team
  • Support investment initiatives financials tracking and reporting
  • Co-ordinate development of organization priorities, core KPIs, and key milestones to track organizational vision and success.
  • Support the teams in preparing communications, events and townhalls.
  • Prepare materials, record minutes, and follow-up as needed on items for business committees and/or regular business meetings

  • Diligently assess risks impacting business decisions, prioritizing firm reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets. Consider legal, regulatory, financial, and reputational risks.
  • Ensure adherence to all laws, regulations, and policies. Proactively adapt to regulatory changes.
  • Demonstrate sound ethical judgment in all actions. Uphold the highest integrity standards.
  • Transparently escalate, manage, and report control issues, ensuring timely communication of potential violations.
  • Effectively supervise, provide guidance, and hold team members accountable for maintaining standards. Address performance gaps and violations promptly.

What we’ll need from you

  • Extensive relevant hands-on experience in finance organization (preferably in business support/management/execution roles)
  • Excellent knowledge and skills of Microsoft Office product suite especially Excel and PowerPoint; Proficiency and comfortable in managing large complex databases
  • Excellent communications skills (written/verbal) at all organizational levels
  • Ability to interact concisely and confidently with senior business leaders.
  • Results/task orientated with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize effectively and resolve conflicting priorities.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and autonomously.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure, with strong problem-solving skills and a level of self-direction
  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment with colleagues who are not based in the same location
  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master's degree preferred
