The Research Strategist is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within their field and contributes to directional strategy by considering how those developments can be applied in their job and within the broader business. They are recognized as a technical authority for a key area within the business and bring basic commercial awareness. The role requires strong communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence and convince internal colleagues and, to a lesser extent, external customers. This position delivers significant impact through complex deliverables and offers advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business, affecting overall performance and effectiveness of the sub‑function or job family.
Responsibilities
- Provide analysis of global financial markets.
- Write research reports.
- Maintain existing and create new financial databases and models.
- Help investors and Citi colleagues with bespoke analysis and data requests.
- Collaborate closely with Citi Research colleagues globally.
- Originate, research, and write analysis of global investment themes.
- Communicate Citi’s investment advice to external clients and Citi colleagues.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
