Team role / overview: The Senior Vice President, Product Manager, Liquidity Management Services (LMS) is a senior leadership position responsible for the strategic direction, commercialisation, and end-to-end product management of the core liquidity and deposit portfolio across the UK and Europe. Based in London—a critical global financial hub—the role focuses on driving balance sheet optimisation, interest optimisation, and investment solutions for the bank's corporate, financial institution and public sector clients. The person in this role is responsible for leading the strategic expansion of deposit and investment capabilities across UK and European branches, ensuring the product suite remains competitive, compliant, and highly profitable. This position requires a sophisticated understanding of the macroeconomic environment, interest rate dynamics, and the regulatory landscape (including PRA/FCA, LCR, and NSFR frameworks). The successful candidate will act as a key advisor to senior corporate treasury clients, collaborate closely with Treasury and Finance, and drive product governance and risk management.
What You’ll Do
- Product Strategy & Balance Sheet Optimisation:
- Portfolio Ownership: Leading the end-to-end product management and strategic roadmap for the deposit services and liquidity concentration product portfolio across the UK and Europe.
- Balance Sheet Management: Partnering with Treasury, Finance, and Market Risk to optimise the bank's balance sheet, managing deposit mix, duration, and funding costs in alignment with liquidity metrics (LCR, NSFR).
- Pricing Governance: Establishing and governing robust pricing frameworks and deposit management initiatives. Overseeing deal reviews and pricing approvals through the CRM platform to maximize yield while maintaining portfolio discipline.
- Product Innovation: Driving the development and deployment of next-generation liquidity concentration, interest optimisation, and investment capabilities across European branches.
- Commercialisation & Client Advisory:
- Market Leadership: Defining and executing commercialisation strategies to drive revenue growth, market share, and deposit acquisition across the region.
- Senior Client Engagement: Acting as a subject matter expert in high-value client negotiations, RFP processes, and strategic client presentations, advising corporate treasurers on optimal liquidity structures.
- Sales Enablement: Equipping coverage and sales teams with the tools, positioning, and collateral required to effectively sell LMS solutions.
- Risk, Control & Regulatory Governance:
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring absolute alignment with UK and European regulatory frameworks, including the Deposit Protection framework, PRA/FCA requirements, and tax regulations (FATCA, CRS, etc.).
- Risk Management: Owning the product control environment. Leading the execution of Manager's Control Assessments (MCAs), Product Approval Processes (PAPs), and risk reviews to proactively identify and mitigate operational, conduct, and compliance risks.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinating and aligning a complex network of stakeholders—including Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Tax—to ensure seamless product delivery and regulatory adherence.
- Operational Excellence & Digital Transformation:
- Data-Driven Insights: Leveraging Big Data, advanced reporting, and analytics to analyse account classes, benchmark performance, and identify portfolio rationalisation opportunities.
- Process Optimization: Driving productivity initiatives to streamline client queries, simplify onboarding, and enhance the overall client experience while reducing operational friction.
- Technology Collaboration: Partnering with Operations and Technology (O&T) to ensure the underlying infrastructure supports scalable, real-time, and secure liquidity management.

What we’ll need from you:
- Industry Expertise: Significant experience in Transaction Banking, Corporate Treasury, or Financial Services, with a deep, specialised understanding of deposit products, liquidity management, and balance sheet optimisation.
- Financial Acumen: Strong grasp of corporate treasury practices, macroeconomic drivers, interest rate risk, and liquidity metrics (LCR, NSFR).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Proven experience navigating UK/European regulatory environments (PRA/FCA, Deposit Guarantee Schemes, FATCA/tax compliance).
- Project & Change Management: Demonstrated track record of leading large-scale, complex, cross-border product launches, or transformation initiatives.
- Strategic Pricing & CRM: Experience managing deal reviews, pricing approvals, and pipeline management through enterprise CRM systems.
- Analytical Capability: Proficiency in leveraging data analytics (including Big Data and advanced reporting tools) to drive portfolio optimisation and business decisions.
- Communication & Influence: Exceptional interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and clients.
- Tools: Advanced proficiency in MS PowerPoint and Excel for financial modelling, business case formulation, and executive-level reporting.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to build consensus and drive execution across highly matrixed, multi-disciplinary teams globally.
- Resilience & Agility: Proven ability to perform under pressure, manage competing priorities, and navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.
- Execution Focus: Rigorous attention to detail combined with a strong bias for action and operational excellence.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
