The payments landscape is rapidly evolving with initiatives such as Open Banking, Tokenization, ISO 20022, and ongoing regulatory, scheme and industry-driven innovations. This role will lead both new and existing payments initiatives, ensure compliance with mandates, and shape the broader domestic and cross border payments strategy, including digital adoption and control enhancements. The Payments Lead Analyst will support all payments products offered in our UAE & EMEA Wealth markets, drive strategic product initiatives, provide subject‑matter expertise, support bankers & client experience, and advance digital channel development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day‑to‑day product activities, including delivery, client experience, and communication strategies, while helping the team prioritize, resolve obstacles, and achieve business goals.
- Define and implement product strategies by analyzing customer behavior, market trends, competitive practices, and product economics.
- Serve as the subject‑matter expert for client experience, product features, and servicing processes.
- Lead initiatives through the full project lifecycle, coordinating with cross‑functional teams and external partners.
- Manage product approvals, translate requirements into user stories, define acceptance criteria, oversee testing, and support post‑implementation activities.
- Provide recommendations based on regulatory changes, competitive dynamics, consumer insights, and market research.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify opportunities for innovation, revenue growth, and improved client experience.
- Oversee initiative lifecycles and daily product support, including development and maintenance of procedures and training materials.
- Drive rapid resolution of issues that negatively impact client experience.
- Demonstrate strong self‑motivation, communication, decision‑making, and adaptability in an agile environment.
Knowledge & Experience
- 6‑10 years of relevant and suitable work experience.
- Strong understanding of payments products and the broader payments marketplace.
- Knowledge of the technical aspects of payment products, rails and digital infrastructure.
- Interest in emerging payments technology, including the future of payments and open banking.
- Familiarity with key payment networks (CHAPS, BACS, Faster Payments, SEPA, NPSS, SWIFT) and ISO 20022 standards.
- Background in process and control design.
- Experience in working with payment regulations and large‑scale programs.
- Strong data analysis skills and exposure to AI‑led transformation are an advantage.
