The Business Change Manager will be part of the Global Change Management function and will lead efforts to understand and implement changes across the Wealth business to adapt to new local and cross‑border regulations as well as execution of initiatives in support of the business strategy. This will require detailed analysis, working in conjunction with Front Office, Product, Control Functions and Operations & Technology teams to assess the impact of the change, define the solution and subsequently implement the appropriate solution to achieve the agreed goals. Key to success in the role is the ability to blend successful project management discipline with a good understanding of the subject matter to help shape the outcome. The role will involve interfacing with key senior stakeholders and internal partners across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the detailed analysis working with Front Office, Product, Control functions and Infrastructure teams in order to understand the changes necessary due to (a.) Local and Cross‑Border regulatory changes; (b.) changes to Citi’s internal policies and procedures; (c.) Business growth and strategic initiatives.
- Work on multiple projects or programs (potentially a combination of tactical and strategic programs) by defining the necessary implementation plans, establishing the appropriate governance and managing them on an ongoing basis.
- Act as an internal consultant, working closely with relevant partners, in order to quickly understand issues and help lead the identification, definition and implementation of the solution.
- Lead and manage Steering Committees identifying, managing and escalating issues, risks and dependencies as appropriate, while working with the various teams in order to define necessary solutions and mitigation plans.
- Develop Business requirement documents as well as test scripts (as required).
- Develop and lead robust change plans to include internal & external communication plan and training plans.
- Ensure changes are transitioned to the relevant teams in a sustainable manner ensuring the necessary enhancements are made to the control framework.
Experience / Skills
- Demonstrable front‑to‑back experience of leading or working on initiatives in either complex regulatory initiatives (e.g., MIFID2) or large business transformational programs.
- Experience in Private Banking / Wealth Management / Capital Markets.
- Prior experience in a consultancy, preferred.
- In‑depth experience of defining and leading significant change programs across the lifecycle, including analysis, systems implementation, process change and controls and communications and training.
Competencies
- Demonstrated ability to digest and understand implications of complex regulations on business models.
- Able to operate at the appropriate level, understanding the detailed concepts while also understanding the “big picture.”
- Ability to quickly grasp and master new concepts / requirements and related product / functional knowledge of Private Banking.
