Citi’s in-house creative agency functions as a dedicated creative partner to our global business, leveraging deep knowledge of Citi and its clients to develop campaigns and content that consistently drive superior client outcomes. This dynamic team is responsible for producing a full suite of marketing content, encompassing strategic campaign development, exceptional design craft, and agile content production. Located between London and New York, their diverse portfolio includes engaging video, impactful social media content, insightful podcasts, immersive experiential campaigns, and comprehensive marketing collateral.
As a Senior Conceptual Designer, you’ll be responsible for the development of ideas from initial concept to final completion, working with the design and account management teams to ensure the smooth delivery of all projects. You will work alongside other members of the creative team providing concepts for a broad range of projects from advertising and thumb-stopping social content through to storyboards and brand experiences.
Key Responsibilities:- With the guidance of the Creative Director, develop creative concepts across a range of campaigns, channels and touchpoints, including brand, marketing, digital, social and internal communications.
- Translate complex financial information into compelling visual narratives that are accessible, engaging and on-brand.
- Collaborate with copywriters, designers, marketers and stakeholders to shape ideas from concept through to execution.
- Provide direction to art workers fostering high creative standards across the team.
- Ensure all creative output aligns with brand guidelines, business objectives and regulatory requirements.
- Present and articulate creative ideas clearly and confidently to internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Stay informed on design trends, emerging technologies and best practices, applying relevant insights to elevate creative output.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing creativity with deadlines, feedback and approvals.
- Ensure that all completed work is thorough, accurate and meets deadlines.
- Day-to-day creative decision-making is part of the role (design issues should be escalated to the Creative Director or Studio Head).
- The timely communication of specification and scheduling changes back to the Traffic Manager.
- Experience in a senior conceptual or design role at either an agency or in-house creative team.
- Proven experience working on integrated campaigns across multiple channels.
- Experience within financial services, professional services or other highly regulated industries is highly desirable.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating conceptual thinking, creative leadership and high-quality design execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in design, advertising, communications or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Essential: Adobe Creative Cloud, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat & Photoshop.
- Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to generate and develop original, strategically sound ideas.
- Exceptional visual design skills, including typography, layout, colour and composition.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to balance creativity with commercial, brand and compliance considerations.
- Collaborative mindset with the confidence to lead creatively and work effectively within cross-functional teams.
- Strong time management and organisational skills in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledge of Adobe Workfront would be useful.
- An understanding of AI and how it can help the creative process would be useful.
