Overview
This role is for a developing professional within our digital software engineering team. You will operate with a degree of independence, tackling complex problems by integrating in-depth specialty knowledge with industry standards. This position offers a solid understanding of how a critical technology team contributes to the broader organizational objectives. You will apply analytical thinking to deliver innovative solutions and contribute to key digital initiatives, working closely with various teams to ensure the quality and timeliness of service.
What you\’ll do

- Develop and implement secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code across various platforms (e.g., web, services).
- Translate technical requirements and application designs into functional code, leveraging appropriate technologies.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including analysis, design, construction, testing, and implementation of new or revised systems.
- Understand the business context, customer use cases, and the underlying architecture of systems to drive technical clarity.
- Collaborate with users, clients, and other technology groups to recommend programming solutions and address technical issues.
- Actively improve development processes, focusing on code quality, performance, unit testing, and CI/CD pipeline automation.
- Take ownership of learning system functionalities, architectures, dependencies, and runtime properties relevant to projects.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, applying sound ethical judgment in all development practices.
What we\’ll need from you
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual who possesses the following essential qualifications and skills:
- Experience in an Application Development role, with demonstrated execution capabilities.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with a data-driven and results-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in core technologies including Oracle, PL/SQL, Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot.
- Experience with testing frameworks such as JUnit, Selenium, and Cucumber for automation.
- Familiarity with build tools like Maven, and source control management systems such as GitHub/Bitbucket.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including tools like Jenkins.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, capable of clearly articulating technical concepts and dependencies.
- A Bachelor’s/University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to assess risk appropriately and drive compliance in technical decision-making.
- A strong understanding of application development concepts and principles.
- A collaborative mindset with good working relationships with team members and peers.
- Working knowledge of SAFe Agile or other agile methodologies is a plus.
